Remarkable Outpour of Support for Tua Tagovailoa’s Charity Following Concussion Incident

Tagovailoa’s Charity Receives a Surge in Donations Post-Injury

The charity established by Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins’ quarterback, witnessed a significant increase in donations, totaling nearly $18,000, in the 24 hours following his recent concussion. The Tua Foundation confirmed that it received almost 1,000 donations since Tagovailoa’s unfortunate incident during Thursday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.

Shortly after the match concluded, Bills’ fan accounts started circulating the name of Tagovailoa’s charity, urging fans to make contributions.

Buffalo Fans Show Their Support

The foundation highlighted that a considerable chunk of the donations originated from the Buffalo region, as indicated by the donors’ addresses. Tagovailoa set up the Tua Foundation in 2021, just after wrapping up his rookie season with the Dolphins. The foundation, as stated on its official website, is a nonprofit entity “committed to supporting youth initiatives, health, wellness, and other philanthropic causes.”

The Tua Foundation: A Beacon of Hope

The Tua Foundation has extended its benevolence to Big Brothers Big Sisters in both Miami and Broward County, Tagovailoa’s high school in Honolulu, Saint Louis School, and the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame, among other beneficiaries. In 2023, the foundation made a significant impact by providing a grant of over $108,000 and 25 Microsoft Surface laptops to aid families affected by the devastating wildfires in Maui.
