Rams Anticipate Puka Nacua’s Return to Field Against Seahawks Despite Knee Concerns

Despite Knee Injury, Puka Nacua Likely to Play in Rams’ Upcoming Match Against Seahawks

Los Angeles Rams’ Wide Receiver, Puka Nacua, Expected to Play Despite Knee Concerns

On the evening of November 2, 2024, the Los Angeles Rams hinted that Puka Nacua, their wide receiver, could be on the field for the upcoming match against the Seattle Seahawks. This information comes despite Nacua’s questionable status due to a knee issue he incurred during a practice session.

Puka Nacua’s Injury Saga

Nacua had to leave the training session abruptly on Thursday after a knee collision with the ground. This resulted in him missing Friday’s practice. However, Rams’ head coach Sean McVay provided some reassurances on Friday, stating that there is no significant structural damage to Nacua’s knee. He further expressed positive outlook about Nacua’s availability for Sunday’s game.

Nacua’s right knee had previously sustained an injury during a combined practice with the Los Angeles Chargers on August 4. This led to him missing three weeks of practice due to the injury. Nacua’s knee problem was aggravated during the Rams’ first game of the season, leading to a five-week stint on the injured reserve.

Nacua’s Recovery and Performance

Nacua was reinstated from the Injured Reserve in time for Week 8’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, where he made a notable contribution of seven catches for 106 yards. For the season so far, Nacua has managed 11 catches for 141 yards over two games.

As a fresh face in the last season, Nacua set an NFL rookie record with the highest number of receptions (105) and receiving yards (1,486).
