Foyesade Oluokun: Jaguars’ Linebacker Sidelined with Foot Injury, Placed on IR
Update on Jacksonville Jaguars’ Player Injuries
Linebacker Foyesade Oluokun’s Foot Injury
In a significant blow to the team, the Jacksonville Jaguars have confirmed that their top tackler, Foyesade Oluokun, has been placed on injured reserve due to a foot injury. This decision, made on Saturday, means that Oluokun will be out of action for a minimum of four weeks.
Impact on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Lineup
The Jaguars, currently with an 0-3 record, also ruled out nickelback Darnell Savage Jr. for the upcoming game against the Houston Texans, due to a quad injury. This marks the third game in a row that Savage will miss. Oluokun, who has clocked 22 tackles and 3 tackles for loss, had to leave during the second half of Monday’s 47-10 defeat to Buffalo. He will not be eligible to return until the Jaguars’ Week 8 clash against the Green Bay Packers at EverBank Stadium.
Rookie Jarrian Jones to Step Up
In light of these changes, it is likely that rookie Jarrian Jones, a third-round pick who is currently nursing a shoulder injury, will step up to start at nickel in place of Savage.
