TE David Njoku and Starting OTs Won’t Take the Field for Browns in Face-off Against Raiders: An Update
Cleveland Browns’ Coach Announces Players’ Absence for Upcoming Game
Cleveland Browns Against Las Vegas Raiders: Who’s In and Who’s Out?
In Berea, Ohio, the Cleveland Browns’ coach, Kevin Stefanski, announced that tight end David Njoku would not participate in Sunday’s match against the Las Vegas Raiders. After an ankle injury in the season opener, Njoku returned to the practice field on Thursday. However, Stefanski confirmed that Njoku would not be practicing on Friday and would be sitting out his third consecutive game.
Stefanski Rules Out Key Offensive Tackles
The Browns will also be without their starting offensive tackles, Jedrick Wills Jr. and Jack Conklin. Wills, who just came back from a season-ending knee injury last year, injured his knee again during the game against the New York Giants. Conklin, on the other hand, has not played this season due to his recovery from a severe knee injury from Week 1 of the 2023 season. Stefanski mentioned a minor hamstring injury Conklin sustained last week, calling it a “minor setback” that would not sideline him for multiple weeks.
Running Back Pierre Strong Jr. Also Ruled Out
In addition to the aforementioned players, Pierre Strong Jr., the running back who suffered a hamstring injury in Week 2, has also been ruled out of the upcoming game.
