49ers Wide Receiver Deebo Samuel, Released from Hospital After Pneumonia Treatment
San Francisco 49ers’ Deebo Samuel Hospitalized with Pneumonia
The San Francisco 49ers have informed that their receiver, Deebo Samuel, is out of the hospital after receiving treatment for pneumonia. According to a team representative, Samuel was discharged from a local hospital on Tuesday afternoon. The receiver was admitted on Sunday night upon the discovery of fluid accumulation in his lungs.
Deebo Samuel’s Health Updates
“I think the health issue began manifesting late Saturday night or early Sunday morning and then escalated as the day progressed,” expressed coach Kyle Shanahan on Monday. “Once we discovered the fluid in his lungs post the game, I believe they sent him to the hospital.”
Deebo Samuel’s Current Health Status
Samuel began displaying signs of illness late on Saturday, which continued into Sunday. Upon reaching Levi’s Stadium, the team confirmed his illness but anticipated his participation about half an hour before the kickoff against the Kansas City Chiefs. However, Samuel managed to play only four snaps before exiting the game. Shanahan later revealed that Samuel experienced difficulties with breathing, alongside throat and stomach complications. Shanahan, on Monday, expressed uncertainty about Samuel’s availability for the upcoming Sunday night game against the Dallas Cowboys, with more information expected to be released on Wednesday.
Health Challenges Among Niners Receivers
Unfortunately, Samuel isn’t the only one among the Niners receivers battling health or injury issues. Brandon Aiyuk’s season has ended prematurely due to a severe ACL and MCL tear in his right knee. Additionally, Jauan Jennings has a hip injury, and Chris Conley is nursing a sprained ankle.
